Creating bulletin boards is suppose to be fun, right? If you are like me, it actually can be kind of stressful.
Do you know what stresses me out?
Making sure my wording is spaced correctly and centered on my board.
Nothing is worse than stapling up your header or cute saying on your bulletin board, stepping back, and realizing that it is completely off. Going back and pulling each staple out and redoing the entire saying is the WORST! GRRRR!!!
But, after doing a zillion boards, I have finally figured out how to avoid the bulletin board wording fiasco!
It’s actually quite simple.
Have you heard of sticky clips? They are tiny white clips with wax on the back.
Go ahead and use the sticky clips to place your letters on your board.
Here is an example of my board that says…”Bee Inspired.”
*By the way, these are designer letter cut-outs called Spumoni from CTP.
I was actually up on this huge ladder creating this display. There was no way I could tell if it was centered or not. I used the sticky clips to place my letters, climbed down, and stepped back to check my work.
As usual, it was off. I went back up, moved the letters and didn’t have to worry about ripping the bulletin board paper, staple holes, and trying to pull staples out of the letters.
I adjusted the letters, climbed down the ladder, and gave it a glance….PERFECT!!!
Now that I knew my lettering was in the exact spot that I wanted it to be, I could now staple them into my board!
Tadaaaa! I told you it was easy!
Another great idea…if you don’t have sticky clips, try painters tape! It will do the same exact thing.
Now, bulletin boards won’t be stressful. You can have fun creating an amazing display for all to see!
