When I create patterning activities, I like to use sentence strips. A really cute alternative is this cute pumpkin border! Turn the border over and just start creating patterns with your stickers! You’ve instantly created a themed activity with very little work! Your students will LOVE this! Patterning just became more exciting since the activity features yummy candy corn and happy pumpkins. I REALLY like how the designs are neutral enough for schools that cannot celebrate Halloween.
Your new patterning activity looks SO fun and festive with the bright colors and polka dots!
With one little pack of stickers I was able to create a variety of patterns. I only showed a few that I made, but there were so many options to choose from. You can really vary the level of difficulty for your students and grade level.
After you’ve had some practice modeling the activity, go ahead and place in a center for students to work independently. You now have a festive center activity for years to come! Add some extra pops of color to the bulletin board by adding in coordinating tissue fans.
