The air is getting crisp, and snow has begun to fall. Winter is almost here! Don’t get lost in the holiday hustle and bustle. Get your storage tubs and centers organized before the chaos begins!
December Calendar Days aren’t just for your calendar, they are perfect for organizing! They are also the perfect visual tool for getting the kiddos involved and organized, too!
Label your storage tubs with the December Calendar Days. Assign students an individual number, and have them put their homework folders, returned work, or other projects in their personal storage container with their assigned December Calendar Day on it.
You could also use these to organize your math and literacy stations. Stations supplies can be easily stored in your numbered containers. Ready to go to work at Station 1? Students can quickly grab the needed supplies, and neatly put them away.

We know you all love the new stencil-cut border options that are now available on CreativeTeaching.com! They join perfectly end to end, but what happens when you plan on joining them at a corner? We have a plan to help you avoid this unsightly overlap.
First of all, to properly align the borders end to end, be sure to tap on both the front and the back BEFORE putting up on the board. This will help you keep the border straight and will also make the connection sturdy.
Next you will want to find your desired length. For any bulletin board, we recommend starting by finishing either both sides or both the top and bottom of the board. This will give you a cleaner look in the end since you will be able to overlap evenly. Be sure to center the border between the two side pieces to ensure your scallops are even on both sides. Once you find the right length, cut the end of the border so that it is rounded as seen in the picture below. This will allow the borders to overlap in the corners with clean edges.
Once you tuck the cut edge in behind the side piece, you will be left with your clean bulletin board!

How to Create A Bow in 2 easy steps:
Step 1. You’ll need three parts for each bow: the band in the middle, the loops, and the tails. Trace on the back of your border your three bow shapes. Then cut your three pieces out. A quick tip is Fold your paper in half to be symmetrical.
Step 2. Grab the two outer tabs on the “loops” piece, bend them to the center, and glue them down. Layer the loops piece on top of the tails with a dot of glue, then wrap the band around the center and secure it in the back with a little more glue.
Once glued, you’re all done! Add your bow to anything to give it a little extra style!Pin It

- Presentation Board
- Fadeless Paper
- Two different sets of borders
1. Staple a presentation board to your empty bulletin board so that the folds run horizontally. Staple the bottom flap to the board, but let the top flap hang down, since it will serve as your awning.
2. Cover your bulletin board with fadeless paper to hide the presentation board.
3. Next, cut bulletin board paper to cover the exposed awning and glue it to the cardboard.
4. Give the edge of the awning some extra pizzazz by using a scalloped or pennant border!Pin It
