Have a great time with your class this winter as you build your own game boards!
MAKE THE GAME
Make a colorful holiday board game! Use Creative Teaching Press’ Ornaments Border to create your board game spaces. Using this colorful border will give the impression of obvious spaces, like you see on a game board. Cut the ornament border in various lengths to fill your playing space to create a path from the start to the finish. Add extra flair to the start and finish space by using one of your favorite CTP holiday cut-outs like the Holiday Ornaments or the Winter Holiday pack.
Create custom dice using the Poppy Red Chevron Border, and accent with cut pieces of the Ornaments Border. For additional instructions on building this piece, see our Dice Activities post from October.
Personalize your game pieces by using the Color-Me Holiday 6″ Designer Cut-Outs. After students have added color to their accent, you can attach a bent paperclip to the back, to create a standing piece.
HOW TO PLAY
Students will roll the dice, and move their game piece to the next matching color ornament on the board. Similar to how you play Candy Land. The first to the end of the board wins!
