Glue five of the cut out Jack-o’-Lantern Jumbo Stencil-Cut Borders to the edge of the border.
Be sure to space the pumpkins out to show the progression of the poem.
Punch two holes at the edge of borders and tie all 6 borders together with ribbon.
This will keep their story book together.
Once the story book is put together, students can practice reading aloud.
This makes a great at home practice book too!
This book makes a great read aloud. Kids also love sitting on the floor and reading an “enormous” book. The poem helps with subtraction and each page turn does too. As you turn the page one pumpkin “leaves” and they can see the visual representation of the amount left on the “fence”.
Create a pumpkin mask that kids will love to wear while reading their “Five Little Pumpkin Book!” This will encourage kids to act the story out too.
