I just returned home from my trip to IRA in San Antonio! WOW!!! What an amazing week! I’ve never been to Texas before and enjoyed every minute of it. The weather was wonderful and there was just so much to do. Our hotel was located by the famous River Walk, so every night we would stroll down and enjoy all of the festivities. There were so many friendly people and soooo many great restaurants!
Here is a picture of the River Walk if you’ve never been there…
One night, we decided to venture outside of town and try some Texas BBQ! Here we are in our cowboy hats! 🙂
The girls talked me into buying this pink tiara hat! It is definitely very “Melanie!” 🙂
We had a lot of fun together! I know I’ve said it before, but I love traveling with this group of girls!
We really enjoyed ourselves, however, it was also a ton of hard work. We arrived at the conference two days early to set up the Creative Teaching Press booth. Oh my goodness…it can be so overwhelming! This is what is awaiting us when we first arrive…
After working two days, here is the booth when we finished!
You can buy this adorable turquoise cart from IKEA or on Amazon!
It’s a big difference from when we started, isn’t it? 🙂
Once we finish building our booth, it is time for the conference to begin!
Our booth is buzzing with activity throughout the entire three days! We have a ton of products for the teachers to check out and purchase, plus we have several presentations going on in our booth!
Here was the line up!
My presentation was called “Word Wall Makeover.” We had a full house every time!
Here were a few highlights from my presentation!

and another Pinterest idea using Dots on Turquoise again…
There was so much more! We definitely had a fun and lively booth throughout the entire conference! A couple times throughout the show, we even had singing and dancing!
We LOVE to have fun at CTP!!! 🙂
If you’ve never had a chance to attend IRA, please TRY! We will be there again next year in New Orleans and I would love to meet you!
See you next year!
