Adding curtains to your classroom is that extra special touch that pulls a coordinated classroom together. From experience, I know that teachers do not have an unlimited budget to create all of that cuteness that they would like to. Buying fabric AND then sewing the curtains can sometimes be the LAST thing you are thinking about when pulling a classroom together.
Well, I have a SOLUTION!
While I was working on Erin’s Stick Kid classroom, we were in the same boat. We didn’t have time to run out and look for fabric, plus we just didn’t have the budget to go out and buy the fabric. Erin had large cinder block windows that I knew needed to be addressed. Without anything added to the windows, the room didn’t look finished and felt a little “cold.”
How easy is that?!?
To hide the staples, I used a coordinating border and added it to the bottom of my curtains – just for some added cuteness!
Last, I added CTP’s 10 inch Poppin’ Pattern dots for a pop of color and then added 6 inch Stick Kids in the center to pull in my Stick Kid theme!
All of these items were just extras that were left from decorating her room.
Don’t let any of that extra décor go to waste!
There you have it! Custom, coordinated curtains that were practically FREE!
