As a 4th grade teacher, the writing process is an important part of Abby Merrill’s daily curriculum. Abby created this super cute way to track student’s writing progress by using CTP’s library pockets.
Abby created a visual display to track where her students are at in the writing process by using color coded 1 inch apple cut-outs.
Abby glued the assorted cut-outs to a craft stick and created a cute container to hold them!
As the children move through the writing process, they grab the color coded stick to show Mrs. Merrill where they are at with their writing.
Abby created a cute coordinated chart to remind students how to use her interactive display…
Red apple: Pre-write
Green dot: Rough Draft
Yellow apple: Revise
Red dot: Edit
Green apple: Publish
What an easy way to manage this important subject in your classroom. This is a also a great way for your students to understand all of the components of good writing!
I LOVE this idea!
