It’s so important to discuss Martin Luther King Jr. Day with your students. Teaching the meaning of the holiday and Dr. King’s vision and beliefs is an integral part of the lesson. As teachers, we often focus on that famous “I Have A Dream” speech and teach our students that Dr. King not only wanted equal rights, but also peace.
