Create a center for early number recognition. Each game mat has a Stick Kid who needs teeth and a target number. The student rolls the dice and adds the teeth ( we used white Tic Tac mints) to the child’s mouth until they reach the correct number. Leave out the dice for younger students and just have them place the appropriate number of ‘teeth’ on the accent.
How To: Use the Stick Kids 10″ Jumbo Cut-Outs. Cut a large mouth shape from black construction paper. Glue the stick kid accent on a large piece of construction paper, add the large black mouth shape to the accent, and glue a target number on the mat. Laminate for durability. Provide students with white tic-tacs to use for ‘teeth’ and dice.
