Fall is here!
Nothing says fall more than beautiful leaves turning colors. This a classroom game is a great way to bring the beauty of fall leaves into your classroom. Students will love this colorful fall leaf game board and will have fun while learning!
How to create the Board:
Use the Maple Leaves Border to create your board game’s spaces. You will want a border that shows obvious spaces like on a game board. Cut the Maple Leaves Border in various lengths to fill up your board from the Start place to the Finish place. To add fun variations to your game, add free space, go ahead, go back…
This board game is a fun way to practice flashcards, comprehension from a novel, adding and subtracting and so much more!
How to create Dice for the game:
Cut two 12” pieces of Yellow Medallion Border. Then fold each piece into 3” increments.
Add actions to the dice! Add actions to 4 spaces on one piece of border and two spaces on the other. You can use the October Poppin’ Patterns Seasonal Calendar Days to practice numbers. This gives a number of spaces to move ahead based on the card number.
For extra math practice – you could make dice using up all of the numbers and play some mental addition games with the numbers rolled. Differentiate it by giving the larger numbers to certain groups and the lower numbers to other groups.
You can also use the Maple Leaves Border cut up to practice matching colors on the board (similar to Candyland).
