Teaching children different holiday traditions is a common practice in December. How about making a flag to celebrate Kwanzaa?
I had my daughter color the flag in traditional Kwanzaa colors first. You can also paint the stripes OR cut out strips of green, black, and red construction paper to create a flag.
Next, I painted a paint stir stick with black paint and let it dry.
Last, I used the 1 inch shapes from Creative Teaching Press to make a pattern on the stick. (I only used traditional Kwanzaa colors for this activity)
