Looking for a fun way to celebrate Hanukkah in your classroom or at home? How about a Hanukkah Countdown Calendar!
Attach small envelopes to your bulletin board and tuck a small surprise into each one. Let your kids open an envelope each day during Hanukkah.

What a fun way to celebrate Hanukkah! How exciting to be a child and know that there is a special gift that’s tucked away inside each envelope. Gifts can be as simple as a piece of chocolate if you are doing this at home. If you decide to create a Hanukkah countdown calendar for your classroom, how about filling each one with a special certificate? For example, one day could read “No homework tonight” or “Extra Recess.” This is a great interactive lesson to help your students understand a Hanukkah tradition!
