1. Empty paper towel roll
Directions: Cut a small piece of the clear plastic wrap and tape it around one end of the paper towel roll. This will be the pretend lens. Use a piece of construction paper and wrap around the roll. Tape it together. The end of the roll that has the plastic wrap, cut a small piece of yellow border and wrap around tube. Tape it together. Decorate with Creative Teaching Press stickers! Ta Da!
Give your students some time to play and act out the Columbus Day lessons that they’ve learned. A telescope is the perfect craft to end your unit! It is simple to make, inexpensive, and it doesn’t need a lot of preparation. We all like crafts like that, don’t we? 🙂
